A sitter session is something I started offering more recently, and to be honest, I am in love with them!  The most ideal age, is between 6-8 months, but baby also needs to be sitting unassisted first.  Hopefully, for most babies, this is before true “stranger danger” has set in, and they still find me amusing and not at all scary.  Babies this age are usually pretty smiley, and also aren’t that mobile yet.

How to Schedule your Sitter Session

Scheduling a sitter session can be a bit time sensitive, but less so than a newborn session.  Usually babies begin showing signs that they are near sitting up on their own.  My kids started doing it for a few minutes here and there, and then within a couple of weeks were pretty reliable sitters.  Once baby is showing you the signs of being near sitting, it’s safe to go ahead and book that session.  Sitter sessions can be done in my Atlanta area studio, or outdoors, if the weather is agreeable that time of year.  Abigail’s were done in studio because it was very cold and windy when we were scheduled to do her session.
