Piedmont Park Maternity Photos

I recently had the pleasure of capturing this adorable family for Piedmont Park maternity photos.  Since we’ve only lived in Atlanta for about 3 years, I hadn’t made it to Piedmont Park just yet.  What an awesome place!  It actually reminded me a little of Central Park, but smaller.  The fall leaves were at their peak the day we did this session, and I am SO glad we had the beautiful leaves in the pictures.

Ethan (big brother to be)  is around the same age as my youngest and he was a rockstar.  This kid is seriously the most compliant 3 year old that I have ever photographed.  And a little secret…since I’m behind on blogging, I’ve actually already done their newborn session, and Ethan was just as agreeable and cute for that!

Maternity Sessions

Maternity sessions can either be booked alone, or as a maternity+newborn package.  Most of my clients that book a maternity session book a newborn session as well.  Clients often ask me when they should do their maternity sessions.  I like to do maternity sessions anytime between 27-32 weeks.  Any later than 32 weeks is pushing it to me just in case mom goes into labor a little early, or just plain doesn’t feel great since it’s so close to the end.

This session was perfect for Piedmont Park maternity photos.    At this time, I do all of my maternity sessions outdoors.  I have a few outdoor locations that I love to shoot at, and once you book with me, we will discuss location options, and what works best for your family.

Maternity + Newborn Package

Since most of my maternity clients do decide to book the maternity + newborn package, I’ll describe that a little.  Each of my sessions includes the session fee, and 15-20 digital images.  I do also sell prints, but I have found that most people want the digital images and am happy to offer that as part of my included pricing.   Maternity sessions take place outdoors.  Newborn sessions are in my studio, located near Marietta, GA.  In my studio, I have all the props we need for an adorable newborn session.  I have plenty of boy and girl outfits, lots of wraps and backdrops, hats, headbands..you name it.  I also frequently update my prop options so that I always have new items to choose from.

As you can see from looking at my site, most of my newborn things are neutral.  It’s very much my style, and just goes well with every skin tone and home color scheme, so I tend to use mostly neutrals.
