Atlanta Senior Photographer

Not all of the seniors I photograph as an Atlanta senior photographer have as fun of a back history as Pace.  I actually grew up with Pace’s sweet mama. When Pace was born, I went and saw her when she was just a few weeks old.  Fast forward about 20 years, and we both find ourselves living in the Atlanta area.  Shortly after we moved here I remembered they lived here as well.  A quick email to her mom later, and I had scored myself a wonderful babysitter in a brand new area.  If you have kids, you’ll appreciate how hard a great babysitter is to come by!  Imagine my excitement when I had one just a couple of months after moving to a new area!

How do plan for your senior session

This was my first year to really market high school seniors.  I honestly decided to do it during the summer, because I knew having my kids home for the summer would make it less easy to offer newborn shoots due to how long they take. Pace was an amazing model.

So, back to planning for a senior session.  Most senior sessions are done the summer between the Junior and Senior years of high school.  It doesn’t HAVE to fall in this time frame.  If your senior prefers to do their session in the fall, or even winter or spring, that’s entirely your choice.  All of my senior sessions include 2 outfits and moderate skin touch ups if needed.  I prefer to do senior sessions during that last hour to hour and a half of light in the day, as that is when the sun is at its best.   Scheduling your senior session 4-6 weeks in advance is always helpful to me, and your senior.  It gives them a chance to make sure their outfit is one they really feel comfortable in. One that shows their personality, rather than something they just threw together at the last minute for pictures.

Atlanta senior photographer sessions last about an hour to an hour and a half.  If your senior is a girl, I highly recommend getting hair and make up done.  If that’s not feasible, I tell my seniors to apply their make up a little more heavily than they would for every day life.

I would love to photograph your uprising senior.  To schedule your session, click here to fill out my contact form. You can also call me by clicking here.
