Atlanta Multiples Photographer

Being an Atlanta multiples photographer is something I truly love to do. I get the chance to snuggle two babies at once.   I’ve already shot 3 sets of newborn twins this year.

Photographing Multiples

Photographing multiples used to make me nervous.  Instead of getting one baby to sleep, there are two.  With a little training from the amazing ladies at Blossom Workshops  I have realized that twins are actually easier than single babies. Twins are used to being touched, since there was another baby in the womb.  They often don’t mind at all being moved and positioned as I work through the session.  They also usually calm down when their brother/sister is next to them.

Sessions for multiples are very similar to my single baby sessions.  I usually reserve 3 hours for the session.  I go through my regular work flow, the only difference is that after individual shots, I get together shots of the babies as well.

When to schedule your session

Most mamas like to schedule their sessions sometime during the 2nd and start of the 3rd trimesters.  Simply call or email me to set up your session.  I pencil your due date on my calendar.  Once you’ve had the babies, just let me know, and we will set up a time for you to come in to my studio sometime during their first 1-3 weeks of life.

How to prepare for your multiples session

Often parents of multiples are concerned that babies may not be on the same sleep schedule.  That is nothing to worry about here.  I keep my studio nice and warm, to help babies feel comfortable enough to fall asleep.  I also have a few tricks up my sleeve to help awake babies fall asleep.  The night or two before your session, I will send you a parent prep letter with even more tips on how to best prepare for your multiples session.  The studio has plenty of blankets, bowls, hats, headbands, rompers, outfits, and blankets to ensure that your session goes amazingly well!   We also keep noise machines in the studio to help even more with making babies sleepy.

Miles and Owen

Miles and Owen were such sweet babies.  They came to me when they were right in that 2-3 week mark.  They slept so well, and were such sweet babies to work with.  Getting to work with such sweet babies as an Atlanta multiples photographer doesn’t feel at all like work.  These boys took one feeding break each, and went right through the session in a breeze.  So far this year I’ve had the joy of photographing two sets of twin boys, and one set of twin girls!  Later this year I have a boy girl twin set scheduled, as well as another girl set scheduled!  I’m starting to think this is the year of the multiples!

To schedule your multiples session, contact me now! I would be honored to capture your twins while they’re this little.  It goes by so fast!
