Atlanta Multiples Photographer

Being an Atlanta Multiples Photographer means that I sometimes get the joy of snuggling not one but two adorable newborn babies!  I honestly used to be so nervous of trying to shoot newborn twins.   I  mean, one fussy baby can be hard and intimidating, but what if both are fussy! So far, in my experience as an atlanta multiples photographer, twins are usually easier to work with than single babies.

How I met THEIR mother

A good number of my clients either find me online, or find me through word of mouth from a friend that has used me.  Word of mouth is the highest compliment anyone can pay me. However, I met the mama of these cuties through one of my son’s NICU nurses.  My youngest child was in the NICU for over 6 weeks when he was born. We got very attached to some of our favorite nurses.   Once we moved to Georgia, one of our favorite nurses reached out to me to let me know her best friend lives near us.  She let me know when she was coming to visit, and we got together with our nurse, and the adorable mama of these two boys.  She has a daughter close to my sons age, and we met at a playground to catch up and let the kids play.

Naturally, when I found out their mom was pregnant with not one but two babies, I convinced her to let me photograph her babies.  I am so glad she did!

What to Expect at your Multiples Session

Multiples sessions don’t necessarily take longer than single baby sessions.  I do try to schedule a little bit of extra time just in case we need it.  Since multiples sessions sometimes require a little more planning, it is best to schedule your session sometime during your second trimester if you can.  I try to coordinate multiples sessions, and love to discuss with expecting parents what colors you would like to use, or what colors are in your nursery.  If you would like to do parent pictures, or sibling plus baby pictures, we do that at the start of the session.  Once the session begins, it will usually take 2-3 hours from start to finish.  Often, babies need a feeding break, and as soon as I notice baby isn’t settling without food, we stop to take a break for food and snuggles with mom.

Often, multiples are born a little earlier than single babies.  If this is the case for you, you may be left wondering when to schedule your newborn session.  Should your babies be delivered at full term, we will do the session anytime during the first 5-20 days of your babies lives.  In the case that babies came early, we will keep in touch, and schedule the session for whenever the babies are at around the full term mark, and are eating well.

I LOVE photographing multiples.  If you or someone you know is expecting multiples, I would be delighted to be your Atlanta Multiples Photographer.  You can set up your session today by calling me. You can also contact me by clicking here.
