Atlanta Newborn Photographer
One of the best parts of capturing Atlanta newborn photography is when I get the pleasure of watching a family grow. I met sweet Ellavie’s beautiful mama several years ago, when our sons were in the same class and my family was new to town. We became fast friends, and our kids became great friends as well. A couple of years ago, I had the joy of taking newborn photos of her youngest son, Crew. You can see those images here.
So it was only natural that they came to me for baby Ellavie’s photos as well. Her photos turned out just as beautifully as her big brother’s.
When should I schedule my Atlanta newborn photographer session?
The ideal time for an Atlanta newborn photographer session is the first two weeks of life. This is when the babies are most flexible and sleepy, though I can get them to sleep and get great photos up to one month of life. It’s best to schedule your appointment at least a couple of months in advance, to ensure your slot. I currently only photograph newborns Monday-Thursday mornings, and since each session takes roughly 2-3 hours, that means I can only book one newborn session per day.
Do I need to bring anything to my session?
Short answer: no. Longer answer: If you have a special item, such as a piece of clothing, blanket or toy, that you’d like to have incorporated into the photos, you can absolutely bring it and I will do my best to work it in. But I love to purchase clothing and props, and I have specific vendors I work with to ensure that all items are safe for baby and perfectly sized for a tiny newborn. I have everything that’s needed. All you need to bring is yourself, your newborn, a pacifier and food for the baby.
What can I expect at my session?
Most sessions last approximately 2-3 hours. If you want to include some whole family and/or sibling photos in the session, I typically do those at the beginning of the session. Once those are done, dad or grandma can take the older siblings to do something fun so they aren’t bored and the studio is peaceful and quiet for the rest of the newborn session.
After the session, you’ll receive a gallery of watermarked images from which to make your selections. Within 2-3 weeks of payment, you’ll receive your fully edited images.
