Newborn Photographer Atlanta
I recently had a video shot of me doing a newborn photographer Atlanta session. Mostly, so that when potential clients and first time parents reach out to me, I can show them exactly what it looks like during a session. To view the finished product, click here. I am SO happy with how it turned out. Grace, with Humming Meadow Productions came over and filmed it for me and seriously, if you EVER need a wedding videographer, or really, a videographer for anything special, I HIGHLY recommend her!
Sweet Jade was 3 weeks old when I did her session for the video. I honestly, almost decided not to use her, because she was a little bit older, and I wanted to make sure I had a REALLY sleepy baby for the session that was being used for the video. Turns out, she was an absolute dream! She had so much beautiful hair, which is always a favorite thing for me to see on a newborn! I am so glad that Jade was my newborn model for the video! It truly couldn’t have worked out better. She also has a super cute older brother who was so eager to be in the pictures with his sister.
What to Expect for a Newborn Session
One thing I like to explain to all of my potential clients, is what to expect during a newborn session. Newborn photographer Atlanta sessions usually last around 2-3 hours. This is to allow enough time to soothe, and feed baby (or babies if there are multiples) as necessary. I have everything we will need for the session here at my studio. I purchase props, outfits, cute things that hold babies, and headbands way more often than I should! I’ve got plenty of backdrops. Upon your arrival, the studio will be warm, to help keep baby comfy during the session. I keep diapers and wipes on hand, as well as extra pacifiers! I’m not kidding when I say I have all that we need here.
When and How to Book Your Newborn Photographer Atlanta Session
To book a session with me, simply contact me via email, or through my site. My email is firstname.lastname@example.org. You can also click here to fill out the contact form on my site. Right now, because I have 4 young kids, and consider myself a “part-time” photographer, full-time mom, I usually have the availability to fit people in. That said, my kids do keep me busy, and as much advance notice as possible certainly helps. Usually, I book newborns anywhere from 1-3 months in advance. This may sound confusing, since often we can’t predict the exact date a baby will arrive. Once you have booked me for your newborn session, I will pencil your due date on my calendar. If you have a scheduled c-section, or even an induction date, let me know in advance, and we can narrow down a time frame for when your session will happen. If you do go into labor on your own, just let me know as soon as you’ve had the baby, and we will schedule your session.
Most newborn sessions happen between the first 7-14 days of life for a newborn. As with all things in life, there is some flexibility on when the session happens, but I find that I have the most success with an agreeable and sleepy baby, during that 7-14 day window.
Pricing and Prints
My pricing for newborn sessions is listed here. I also offer maternity/newborn packages, as well as first year of life packages. My pricing is currently inclusive. This means that the session fee, and 15-20 digital images. I do offer printing services, both through the link that you will receive once you get your final gallery, or if you’re looking for something more specific, you can order straight through me. I use a professional lab, and have calibrated my computer and editing software to match the lab, for the best possible final product for my clients.
Including the digital images does mean that you can select the retailer that you use for printing your images, I do highly encourage my clients to use a professional lab so that your beautiful images look their best.
