Atlanta Family Photographer-Christmas PJ Pictures
Of ALL of the families I have EVER photographed as an Atlanta family photographer, this one is my hardest. I’ll let you in on a secret though..they’re MINE! I would never bad mouth a REAL client..but these clowns…it’s fair game!
Last year, for the first time, I attempted Christmas PJ pictures of my kids, and really loved how they turned out. I decided to do it again this year, and add the family dogs. Our boxer, Marley, is 5, and we have a new puppy, Nova, who is around 3 months old. Photographing 4 kids (who are probably OVER photographed as it is) and 2 dogs is about as easy as you may think it sounds. I did bribe them heavily, but I think in the end they had fun. My oldest, Zaden (9) read the kids Twas the Night Before Christmas, and it was so sweet how into the book they all were. My daughter, Landrie (6) looks completely captivated by him.
These cuties are my reason for becoming a photographer. When I got my first DSLR back in 2009, I never imagined I’d be running a business and taking pictures of so many cute kiddos. When this all began for me 9 years ago, I thought I’d get some better pictures of my own kids. That’s it. I ended up really enjoying it, and dove in head first trying to learn as much as I could on how to get better. I didn’t attend my first workshop until 2015 and it was a huge game changer for me. Being able to see studio lighting being used in person, and how to safely pose newborns in person was such a great help for me. The workshop I attended was Blossom Workshops.
What to Expect for Your Atlanta Family Photographer Session
While most of my Atlanta family photographer sessions do not take place in the spare bedroom of my home, most of them are very busy and fun! As you can see, I have 4 kids. They are Zaden (9), Kellam (8), Landrie (6), and Avett (3)…did you get that? There will be a quiz later! I have always worked with children, and have always LOVED doing just that. My goal for family sessions is for them to be fun, as stress free as possible, and to get a mixture of shots where your family is just interacting, and looking at the camera. Isn’t that what we all want?
Since I do have 4 young kids, I have all the patience in the world and totally understand that kids aren’t always agreeable or cooperative. That’s just part of life! I try my best to keep the session moving along, and to change things up when I see that kids need a break, or a change of scenery.

Damn! All the kids smile now! How’d you do it?
It was a combination of threatening them with their lives and just acting silly:) Tears were shed!
