Most of the time, when I shoot Atlanta Newborn Photos, the babies sleep a lot. Not Noah. His mom even warned me that he didn’t really sleep much, but for some reason, I was SURE I could get him to sleep for hours on end. Not the case! Little Noah just stared at me for the better part of the 3 hours that he was with me! I did finally get him to sleep for about 10 minutes while he was here. Luckily, I was able to get a LOT of pictures in those 10 minutes! Noah was such a little cutie with the brightest eyes! He also sleep smiled a good bit too! Noah has 2 older brothers, so I’m pretty sure he was just worried he’d miss out on something if he slept!
Favorite thing about Newborn Photography
One of my favorite things about being a newborn photographer, is that I get to snuggle these little guys while I try to convince them to fall asleep! Eight years ago, when I started to pursue photography, I never would have imagined I’d be doing this for a job and enjoying it so much!
Things to consider when choosing a photographer
If you’re considering booking a newborn photography session, you definitely want to keep a few things in mind. Booking your photographer (hopefully me!) ahead of time is very important. I’m a mom first and a photographer second, so I like as much heads up as possible so I can make sure my own kids are taken care of so that I can snuggle and photograph your baby! Another thing to keep in mind is that while I do have several poses I try to work through in each session, some babies, like Noah, just aren’t that sleepy. I can’t guarantee all poses for every baby. I try what I can, but I keep your baby and their comfort first and foremost in my sessions. Noah was not a fan of being on his tummy at all, so he was pretty much swaddled or on his back for all of his session. I usually try out all of my go to poses, but if baby isn’t having it, baby always wins!
