Instead of newborn babies for this post, I thought I’d show a few pictures of the inside of my studio. This is where my newborn studio sessions take place.
Newborn Studio Sessions
For a general newborn studio session, I allow around 3 hours of time. Upon scheduling your session, clients will receive a prep letter with some great tips and tricks for parents to help baby be ready for photographs on the day of their session. Because session time is scheduled, it is very helpful if babies are brought in ready to go so that we can use all of our studio time on photographing and taking feeding and snuggle breaks as needed.
I keep my studio at about 85 degrees so that baby can be comfy. Just outside the studio doors, is a sitting area with a comfy sofa, just in case parents find it too warm to hang out in the studio. Babies do best for sleeping, and wearing less clothes, if the studio is nice and warm.
Once your session is finished, I will post a preview of your session on my blog. After I have posted a preview, it generally takes me around 1-2 weeks to finish editing the remainder of the photos from a session.
Inside the studio
These are a few of my props, back drop blankets, diaper supplies, etc, that I have available to use for my newborn studio sessions. I am constantly adding to my collection of back drops, blankets, wraps, headbands, and baby hats. It’s kind of an obsession!
Appleseed Photography Studio
No newborn studio would be complete without a decent supply of adorable headbands for baby girls. I love dainty, sweet little headbands!
This is my wall/floor set up for sitters, and some newborn set ups. This side is a beautiful stained wood, the other side is a lovely creamy color.
And lastly, some of my wraps/swaddlers. I’m kind of digging the neutral look right now, in case you couldn’t tell!
