Atlanta Maternity Photographer

One of the best parts of my job as an Atlanta maternity photographer, is seeing the excitement and anticipation in expectant families.  Little girls that are about to be big sisters, parents that are going from one child to two…I love it.  I am so fortunate to be able to capture this exciting time for families.

When to Schedule Your Atlanta Maternity Photographer Session

I tend to schedule my maternity clients sometime between 28-32 weeks of pregnancy.  If you’ve had other babies in the past, and went closer to 40 weeks, we can do a little later.  In the past, I have had a few mamas go into labor before their maternity session date, so I try to get the session in before 34 weeks.

Once you schedule your maternity session, you can decide if you’d like to focus on your family, and have the session be more a feel of family pictures while you are pregnant, or if you’d like the focus to be more on just mom, and mom and dad, and maybe adding a couple of pictures of siblings. Either way, this is such a special time that is worth documenting.

Locations for your Maternity Session

My studio space is pretty small, so generally I do my maternity sessions outdoors.  I have a few locations that I love, and am happy to consider places that are special to you as well.  When young kids are involved, I tend to gravitate towards places that are not very busy and crowded.  More like a park, or field, with lots of open room.   Town square type areas can be very cute, but can also be very distracting for young kids.  There are lots of parks in the area with amazing backdrops for photography, and when you contact me to discuss your maternity session we will go over locations as well.
