Newborn Photographer Atlanta

The first time I picked up a DSLR camera was 10 years ago. I had no idea that  later I’d have my own business as  newborn photographer Atlanta.

This sweet family came to me when baby Rex was 16 days old for their newborn photographer Atlanta session.  Rex happens to be the biggest newborn baby I have ever photographed.  At birth, he weighed in at a whopping 10 lbs 12 oz!  I had the pleasure of working with Rex’s parents and adorable big sister about 6 weeks before he made his BIG debut for their family maternity session.  Rex’s big sister was just the cutest with her baby brother.

Newborn/Maternity Package

If you’re interested in maternity and newborn photos with me, my maternity/newborn package is the way to go.  This allows your family to have maternity AND newborn photos all for one price. Packaging and booking the sessions ahead of time saves money as well.  Each of the sessions pricing includes the session time, as well as 10-15 fully edited digital images.  I generally suggest doing maternity photos sometime in the last 6-8 weeks of the pregnancy just in case there’s an early arrival!

Once the maternity session is taken care of, booking the newborn session is a bit less…predictable!  What I like to do for my newborn clients is pencil the due date on my calendar.  If you go on your own, just let me know as soon as you get a chance, and we will get you scheduled within the next couple of weeks.  Should you end up having a scheduled c-section or induction, you can let me know your date, and we can schedule you based on that.

Generally, I like to get babies into the studio within their first 2 weeks to do newborn sessions.  This definitely has some flexibility, and I completely understand that sometimes, with deliveries and babies, unexpected things happen.  While two weeks is the most ideal, if you or baby need a little more time to rest and recover, I am very flexible.

What to expect at your newborn session

I do my best to prep my clients as far as how to prepare baby for their first photo session.  If you’re like me, you may be a little curious about the inside of my studio space.  I change things around from time to time, but clicking here will give you a view of my studio area.  Right now, I only offer studio sessions Monday-Friday.  Studio sessions start at 9:30 a.m. and end between 12:30-12:45 p.m.  They can take anywhere from 2-3 hours, depending on how well baby sleeps, and how many food breaks we need to take.  I keep the studio very warm, to help baby be comfy and sleepy.  The night before your newborn session, you will receive a “parent prep” email from me.  This contains some tips and tricks I’ve picked up along the way, to try to set you and baby up for the best newborn session possible.
