While I love using outdoor, natural lighting, I also love being an Atlanta studio photographer. I get to work in different studios, adjusting for the unique lighting in each one, and crafting beautiful family photos that people will cherish for years to come.

This lovely family was no exception. I did Elizabeth’s newborn and six month photos, so doing these family photos was a huge pleasure!

What to expect at your Atlanta studio photography session

We’ve all seen the perfectly posed photos, where the father has his hand resting on the mom’s shoulder, and everyone is looking directly at the camera, smiling beautifully. And we’ve all had that moment where we wondered how on earth we would ever get our family to do that.

The good news is, you don’t have to! My goal for family photo sessions is to keep them as fun and stress-free as possible. That means not trying to force your family into poses that feel unnatural and perhaps even uncomfortable for you.

I prefer to get a mix of shots where your family just interacts with each other and ones where you look at the camera. And I know that kids aren’t always in the mood to sit perfectly still, or even to cooperate at all. That’s why I’ll judge your kids’ moods and change things up when they need a break or a change of scenery.

Where do photo sessions take place?

My Atlanta studio photographer sessions can take place at a number of studios. For this shoot, we were at Park Studios. Park Studios is a natural light studio and creative space that is perfect for family photo shoots.

The space is all white, creating a perfect neutral backdrop for photos while also allowing us to get creative with our own ideas.

If you have a preferred studio, let me know when you call to book your appointment. If you’d like to use Park Studios, that can be arranged as well.
